Our smart caps use ultrasound technology (fancy, right?) to report pours and bottle levels in real-time.
The cap actually has a built-in sensor that bounces sound waves within the bottle to report on the current bottle level. Since the liquor flow is not measured through the cap itself, this technology works for both pourers and stoppers.
When does the reading get triggered?
Every pour triggers the cap to complete a new measurement reading.
Additionally, if a product hasn't been used within the last 1–2 hours, the cap will automatically take a new reading. Having a signal from each cap every 1–2 hours, not only verifies the last reading, it also informs us that the cap is happy and healthy.
What if the cap is removed while pouring?
No worries! You'll know exactly how much liquor is missing once the cap is back on and a new measurement reading is taken.
